The Tee-Mamou Iota courir is one of the few rural runs with unbroken continuity, featuring a rare all-women's run the Saturday before, and ending on Fat Tuesday when the wagon arrives in Iota for a public folklife festival with live Cajun and Zydeco bands and traditional food.
