Tregaron Agricultural Show
The show at the heart of Welsh mountain farming and pony country on the vast Cors Caron bog, with classes for the rare Welsh Black cattle and the fiercely contested Welsh cobs that have given Tregaron its reputation since before the droving roads.
A proudly Welsh drovers' market town punching well above its size thanks to Y Talbot, a nationally recognised pub-restaurant and inn that alone justifies the detour, set against a compact Georgian and Victorian stone square with Cors Caron's big-sky wetland just up the road.
