Grande Romaria de São Bento da Porta Aberta
Held at the celebrated mountaintop sanctuary on the edge of Peneda-Gerês National Park, this major romaria draws tens of thousands of pilgrims to the shrine of São Bento on the 13th of August for an open-air mass, solemn procession and festive arraial.
