Batalla de Flores de Laredo
In its 115th edition, Laredo's Batalla de Flores sees monumental floats clad in up to 180,000 fresh flowers, each carnation pressed on by hand in the hours before the parade, in a dazzling spectacle born in 1908 to evoke a flower-strewn naval battle.
