NVTC Vintage Rally
The Northumberland Vintage Tractor Club's rally draws vintage machinery and working steam to the castle town of Alnwick each August, a show that fits naturally in a county where working farms still outnumber tourist coaches and the pace of harvest has not changed as much as people think.
Alnwick punches well above its weight for a Northumberland market town, anchored by a castle, a world-class garden, one of Britain's great bookshops, multiple CAMRA-recognised pubs, a twice-weekly market, and a genuinely varied eating and drinking scene that keeps it lively for visitors and locals alike.
