Bellingham Show and Country Festival
Deep in the Northumberland countryside, a riotous one-day festival with terrier racing, live bands, Northumbrian piping, traditional wrestling, a dog show and fell racing, with the 2026 theme celebrating 100 years of Kielder Forest.
A proper North Tyne market town on the edge of Northumberland National Park, earning its place on the itinerary through a Grade I church with a stone roof unlike almost anything else in England, a Hareshaw Linn waterfall walk, and enough pubs, cafes and a monthly market to sustain a comfortable half-day stop.
