Abergavenny Food Festival

The food festival that started the whole British movement, filling a Monmouthshire market town under the Sugar Loaf with Welsh lamb, farmhouse cheese and orchard cider every September.

19 Sept to 20 Sept 2026
Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales
Our view of Abergavenny
Worth a whole day

Abergavenny punches well above its size as a market town: a serious food scene, four Good Beer Guide pubs, a medieval priory full of genuine drama, 252 listed buildings, and a working market running Tuesday, Friday and Saturday make it a rewarding full day rather than a passing stop.
