Chinchilla Melon Festival

The self-styled watermelon capital of Australia floods its streets with 20,000 visitors every second February for four days of melon skiing, pip-spitting championships, a rodeo, farm tours and a colourful street parade that consumes around 20 tonnes of watermelons.
