The self-proclaimed Possum Capital of the World stages its legendary one-day folk carnival each August in the Florida Panhandle's deep pine country, complete with a Possum Parade, Hog Callin' and Rooster Crowin' contests, a quilt auction, and the famous Possum Ice Cream made with persimmon.
