Every spring the small bay-shore village of Stoliv celebrates the camellia, brought from Japan in the 19th century by a Boka captain for his wife, with flower exhibitions, a gala Ball of Camellia, art shows, literary readings, and traditional boat events against the backdrop of gardens cascading to the water's edge.
