Every 26 June Kotor celebrates the Boka Navy, the world's oldest continuously active seafarers' organisation (founded 809 CE), with a formal harbour parade, the UNESCO-listed Kolo chain dance in the Square of Arms, and ceremonies in the maritime city's Venetian-era streets.
