Pivašiūnai hosts Lithuania's largest Žolinė pilgrimage, where villagers bring handmade bouquets of nine herbs and grains to be blessed at the famous pilgrimage church, blending ancient agrarian harvest customs with Catholic tradition on the fixed feast of the Assumption.
