Púca Festival (Trim and Athboy)
Ireland's flagship Samhain festival animates the medieval Norman walls of Trim Castle with fire processions, a Gathering of the Spirits parade, four nights of music and the ceremonial lighting of the ancestral flame. The festival spans Trim and neighbouring Athboy, where the Samhain fire is lit on the Hill of Ward, the custom's recorded birthplace.
