Garland Sunday at Tobernalt Holy Well
One of Ireland's most continuously observed Garland Sunday traditions, Tobernalt Holy Well on the shores of Lough Gill draws pilgrims from dawn for outdoor Mass, anointing of the sick, and processions rooted in the ancient Lughnasa custom of visiting sacred wells.
