Maraton lađa
Teams of up to 18 rowers from Neretva river villages race 22 kilometres of the delta in refurbished traditional wooden lađe to Ploce, a centuries-old river custom that draws crowds waving flags along both banks in a celebration of the flat-bottomed boat culture unique to this part of Dalmatia.
