Apokries tis Skyrou (Geroi kai Koreles)
On the Aegean island of Skyros, men dressed in hooded black capes and goatskin masks with belts of clanging herd bells run through the whitewashed streets as the Geros figure, accompanied by the white-clad Korela, in a pre-Christian Dionysian rite that has survived unbroken into the present.
