World Pier Crabbing Championships

An international event (which means people from Sheringham and further afield take part) on Cromer Pier, where crabbers compete to catch the greatest number and the largest specimen in two hours, with all crabs returned to the sea to wait for next year.

Cromer, Norfolk, England

Our view of Cromer
Worth a whole day

A genuinely intact Victorian seaside town with a working pier, the tallest church tower in Norfolk, a serious food scene punching above its size, and enough history, beach and coast path to fill a long day without effort.
