Findon Sheep Fair
A South Downs village fair that has been trading sheep since the 12th century, still entirely about the sheep, still held on the village green, and still rather pleased with itself about both.
A well-provisioned downland village with genuine historic depth - a Domesday church, a Grade II* Georgian mansion, a community-owned shop, multiple pubs, and an annual sheep fair that has run for over 200 years - sitting comfortably inside the South Downs National Park without feeling like a showpiece.
