Cheltenham Science Festival
Six days of talks, debates, demonstrations and interactive events bringing together Nobel laureates, astronauts and leading scientists to Cheltenham Racecourse each June in the UK's premier science festival.
Cheltenham is not a village but one of Britain's finest intact Regency spa towns - its grand terraces, pump room, festivals and well-stocked pubs reward a full day with ease, and there is enough architecture alone to justify the trip.
