Fiesta del Ajoblanco
Every first Saturday of September this tiny Axarquian village whitewashes its facades, fills the streets with old farming tools and life-size costumed figures, and distributes thousands of litres of ice-cold ajoblanco almond soup to visitors, closing the night with a great bonfire and flamenco at the Noche de las Candelas.
