Cookies and Analytics
Last updated: 29 May 2026
Short version: we do not use cookies to track you, and we do not show a cookie banner because we do not need your consent for the way we measure traffic.
We do not use tracking cookies
Villagly does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use cross-site trackers or third-party advertising.
How we measure traffic
We use Plausible Analytics to see, in aggregate, how the site is used. Plausible is cookieless and privacy-friendly: it stores nothing on your device, collects no personal data, and does not follow you across other sites. The numbers we see are anonymous and aggregated, so we cannot identify individual visitors. Plausible processes this data within the EU.
Why there is no cookie banner
Cookie consent banners are required when a site stores or reads information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary. Because our analytics does not use cookies or store anything on your device, that requirement does not apply, so we keep the site clean and skip the banner.
If this changes
If we ever add a feature that needs cookies or stores information on your device, we will update this page and add the appropriate controls before that feature goes live.
