Kosti, a Strandzha village famous for its nestinarstvo, also keeps alive the Kukerovden and Palikosh masquerade customs seven weeks before Easter, filling the village with costumed mummers whose spring-fertility rites are found nowhere else outside Rupska Strandzha.
